Handicap Conversion

This article details the conversion of a 1999 37V D for handicap living. My wife, Linda, has MS and is confined to a wheelchair and is unable to walk or get in or out of bed by herself. Modifications were necessary to allow the use of her wheelchair in the coach. A major objective was giving Linda the ability to come and go from the coach without requiring anyone's assistance.

The total cost of the coach conversion was approximately $47,000. The conversion was done by LazyDays and took five months. The exterior of the coach has motion-sensor lighting which lights up the exterior of the coach at night to allow Linda to enter or exit the coach at night.
