Ever since I first got the Discovery, I've been wanting to get better headlights. I've always thought that the OEM headlights were way too dim.
I replaced them this afternoon. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. The headlight assembly unbolts from inside the "hood" with four lock washers on each one. Once the assembly is out, new bulbs just twist right in from behind.
I went to Pep Boys and bought four Hyper White Xenon Halogin bulbs, two 9005's for low beams and two 9006's for high beams. Bulbs were $15.00 each for a total of $60.00.
Went driving after dark tonight to see how much of an improvement the new bulbs made. The improvement was significant.
