Having a ladder handy is almost a necessity, even for those that do not travel full-time in their Discovery. However, finding a place to conveniently store a ladder is a big concern. I solved this problem by purchasing a collapsible ladder (available at most major camping outlets), and then storing it in a Lowes white fence post (5" square) in the rear most, left side compartment atop the frame rails. I placed a glued on cap on the right-hand side of the tube, and then slide my 7' collapsable ladder into the square tube. I then have the left-hand cap held in place with a small bungie cord. Works great and doesn't block the radiator what so ever.
