This page includes information from the August, 2001, edition of Freightliner's "KNOWING YOUR CHASSIS". There are many other things in this booklet that are not presented here. I highly recommend that you get one of these booklets from Freightliner. These booklets are also distributed at Freightliner seminars. Some of the information presented here pertains to Freightliner chassis and Cummins engines that are not used in the Discovery. Since we have a lot of non-Discovery owners that browse our site, I have included all the information in the Freightliner table. You should always refer to your owners manual also. SPECIAL NOTE REGARDING INTERVAL FOR CHANGING REAR AXLE FLUID - I corresponded with Glenn Hoops of Freightliner, and he advises that the proper interval is 2 years and not one year as stated in the "KNOWING YOUR CHASSIS" brochure. This is corrected below.
SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE
A very important part of ownership is paying close attention to scheduled maintenance items.
