Recently, my roof-mounted Winegard satellite dish became VERY HARD to rotate to the proper azimuth. After consulting the installation manual, I discovered that the base of the satellite dish is supposed to be sprayed with silicone lubricant twice per year. The satellite dish rests on a big nylon bushing which needs to be lubricated. While you are up there, spray some lubricant on the worm gear for the elevation control.
